Refund Policy.
Short version: try before you buy with the free trial. If you already bought and want a refund, we can help directly — AwayCam is sold from our own site, not the App Store.

Try it free first
The best way to avoid ever needing a refund: use the 7-day free trial before you pay anything. It requires no credit card and unlocks all of Pro for a week, so you can confirm it actually works well in your meeting apps before committing to Monthly, Annual, or Lifetime. If it's not for you, the trial simply ends and AwayCam drops back to Free — nothing to cancel, nothing charged.
How purchases work
AwayCam is distributed directly from awaycam.app, not through the Mac App Store. All three Pro plans — Monthly ($4.99/mo), Annual ($34.99/yr), and Lifetime ($69.99 once) — are processed by our payment provider at checkout, who handles your card details and billing (we never see or store your card number). After payment, you receive a license key by email that activates Pro in the app.
If AwayCam is ever offered through the Mac App Store, purchases made there instead go through Apple's StoreKit In-App Purchase system, and refunds for that channel are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com — not by us. Everything below is about direct purchases from our own site.
How to request a refund
Email support@awaycam.app with your order number or the email address you purchased with, within 14 days of the charge, and we'll refund it — no detailed justification required. Since none of the plans auto-charge without you actively buying (there's no card required for the trial, and Lifetime is a one-time charge), refund requests are almost always "this didn't work for me," and that's a good enough reason.
If you're on Monthly or Annual and want to stop future renewals (separate from refunding a past charge), email the same address, or cancel from the receipt link in your confirmation email. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it doesn't retroactively refund the current period unless you ask within the 14-day window above.
Where we can help
Refunds, billing questions, a license key that isn't redeeming, or anything else that didn't work as expected — email support@awaycam.app and we'll sort it out directly. Since we process these ourselves (not through an app store's automated flow), a real person reads every request.
